Arunava Dey Ray from Kolkata, West Bengal, and Kailash Singh Rana from Kasla village, Uttarakhand founded their tour company, Detour Adventures, in 2020 in Dehradun with a vision to create comfortable yet adventurous travel experiences in the Himalayas. In 2023, they expanded their journey to the breathtaking Spiti Valley, where they started Hotel Him Shelter, a welcoming Himalayan retreat for travelers seeking both adventure and authentic mountain hospitality. Today, the hotel reflects the same spirit of warmth, trust, and exploration that Detour Adventures stands for, offering guests a cozy stay and unforgettable experiences amidst the majestic Himalayas.
